The Super T Self-Priming Trash Pump is meticulously engineered for cost-effective and hassle-free operation in managing solids-laden liquids and slurries. Featuring an expansive volute design, these pumps are capable of automatic re-priming in an entirely open system without necessitating suction or discharge check valves. This functionality is effective even when the pump is only partially filled with liquid and the suction line is completely dry.
These pumps can handle spherical solids up to 76mm in diameter, varying by pump model. Should the pump shaft or bearings require maintenance or repair, the entire rotating assembly can be extracted without disrupting the pump casing or pipelines.
Providing the same dependability and performance as the ST self-priming pump, the Super T model includes additional sophisticated design features such as external shimless adjustment, dual bearing protection, and an ergonomic 'easy-grip' cover plate handle. The assortment of various pump sizes, impeller trims, and speed options ensures the perfect pump capacity tailored precisely to your system requirements, whether for a small subdivision or a large-scale waste collection system.
External Shimless Adjustment
The innovative external shimless cover plate allows for straightforward adjustment of the gap between the impeller and wearplate. This feature negates the necessity to realign belts, couplings, or other drive components. Consequently, the operating height of the seal assembly and impeller back clearance remains unaffected. The unique collar and adjusting screw enable incremental adjustments of the wearplate clearance with a simple hand twist. Once set, the collar locks in place, maintaining the clearance setting even if the cover plate is removed. This design effectively doubles the lifespan of the impeller and wearplate, ensuring peak pump performance.
Solids Handling
A robust two-vane, semi-open solids handling impeller accommodates up to 3" (75 mm) diameter solids, depending on the pump model. The pump-out vanes on the impeller shroud minimize foreign material accumulation behind the impeller and reduce pressure on the seal and bearings.
Exclusive Mechanical Seal
The exclusive double-floating, self-aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical cartridge seal, crafted with silicon carbide or tungsten titanium carbide stationary and rotating faces, is specifically designed to withstand abrasive industrial environments. This seal is available on 3", 4" and 6" (75 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm) pump models, with optional seal configurations also available.
Removable Cover Plate with 'Easy-Grip' Handle
The detachable cover plate, fitted with an 'easy-grip' handle and pusher bolt functionality, allows rapid and straightforward access to the pump's interior without disconnecting the piping. This enables the quick removal of clogs and immediate pump reinstatement. The impeller, seal, wearplate, and flap valve can also be accessed via the cover plate opening for inspection or maintenance.
Removable Rotating Assembly
Inspecting the pump shaft or bearings is seamlessly accomplished without disturbing the pump casing or piping, simply by removing the rotating assembly. By detaching four bolts from the back of the pump, the entire assembly can be effortlessly slid out.
Dual Protection of Bearings
The atmospheric isolation of the seal cavity offers robust protection for the bearings, while this unique design also supports external monitoring capabilities.
