This pump features an innovative large volute design, enabling it to re-prime automatically in a completely open system without the need for suction or discharge check valves. Remarkably, this pump can operate even when partially filled with liquid and with a completely dry suction line.
The Super T Trash Pump efficiently manages spherical solids up to 76mm in size, based on the pump model. Should servicing or repairs be necessary for the pump shaft or bearings, the entire rotating assembly can be conveniently removed without disturbing the pump casing or pipelines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Mirroring the reliability and performance of the ST self-priming pump, the Super T pump offers additional advanced features such as external shimless adjustment, dual protection of bearings, and an 'easy-grip' cover plate handle. The versatility of various pump sizes, impeller trims, and speed variations ensures the pump is perfectly matched to your system's specific requirements, whether it's a small subdivision or an extensive waste collection system.
External Shimless Adjustment
The innovative external shimless cover plate facilitates easy adjustment of the clearance between the impeller and wearplate, eliminating the need to realign belts, couplings, or other drive components. This design maintains the integrity of the seal assembly height and impeller back clearance. With a unique collar and adjusting screw, incremental adjustments of the wearplate clearance can be made effortlessly. The collar locks in place to retain the clearance setting even after the cover plate is removed, doubling the life of the impeller and wearplate and ensuring maximum pump efficiency.
Solids Handling
The two-vane, semi-open solids handling impeller accommodates solids up to 3" (75 mm) in diameter, depending on the pump model. The pump-out vanes on the impeller shroud mitigate foreign material buildup behind the impeller, reducing pressure on the seal and bearings for enhanced durability.
Exclusive Mechanical Seal
Our exclusive double-floating, self-aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical cartridge seal, crafted with silicon carbide or tungsten titanium carbide, is tailored for abrasive industrial service. This robust seal comes standard on 3", 4", and 6" (75 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm) pump models, with optional seals available to suit various applications.
Removable Cover Plate with 'Easy-Grip' Handle
The removable cover plate, featuring an 'easy-grip' handle and pusher bolt capability, allows for rapid and straightforward access to the pump interior without disconnecting piping. This design enables quick removal of clogs, placing the pump back in service within minutes. The impeller, seal, wearplate, and flap valve are all easily accessible through the cover plate opening for inspection or service.
Removable Rotating Assembly
Inspection and maintenance of the pump shaft or bearings are simplified by the removable rotating assembly, which can be accessed without disturbing the pump casing or piping. By removing just four bolts from the back of the pump, the entire assembly slides out for easy servicing.
Dual Protection of Bearings
The unique atmospheric isolation of the seal cavity ensures optimal protection of the bearings. This design also incorporates capabilities for external monitoring, further safeguarding the pump's integrity and performance.
