The Super T Self-Priming Trash Pump is engineered for cost-effective and reliable operation in handling solids-laden liquids and slurries. Featuring a large volute design, it allows for automatic re-priming in an entirely open system, eliminating the need for suction or discharge check valves. This pump can function even when it is only partially filled with liquid and has a completely dry suction line.
Our pumps are capable of handling spherical solids up to 76mm in diameter, depending on the model. If the pump shaft or bearings require service or repair, the entire rotating assembly can be removed without disrupting the pump casing or pipelines, ensuring seamless maintenance.
Providing the same reliability and performance as the ST self-priming pump, the Super T pump incorporates advanced design features such as external shimless adjustment, dual bearing protection, and an 'easy-grip' cover plate handle. The combination of various pump sizes, impeller trims, and speed variations ensures that the correct capacity pump is matched precisely to your system's requirements, whether it's for a small subdivision or a large waste collection system.
External Shimless Adjustment
The external shimless cover plate allows for seamless adjustment of the clearance between the impeller and the wearplate, eliminating the need to realign belts, couplings, or other drive components. This system maintains the seal assembly's working height and impeller back clearance. The unique collar and adjusting screw enable incremental adjustments to the wearplate clearance with just a turn of a hand. Once set, the collar locks in place, maintaining the clearance even if the cover plate is removed. This innovative design doubles the life of the impeller and wearplate while keeping the pump operating at peak efficiency.
Solids Handling
The two-vane, semi-open solids handling impeller can handle solids up to 3 inches (75 mm) in diameter, depending on the pump model. Pump out vanes on the impeller shroud reduce foreign material buildup behind the impeller, decreasing pressure on the seal and bearings.
Exclusive Mechanical Seal
Our exclusive double-floating, self-aligning, oil-lubricated mechanical cartridge seal, with stationary and rotating faces made of silicon carbide or tungsten titanium carbide, is meticulously designed for abrasive industrial service. This seal is available on 3-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch (75 mm, 100 mm, and 150 mm) pump models, with optional seals available for specific needs.
Removable Cover Plate with 'Easy-Grip' Handle
The removable cover plate with 'easy-grip' handle and pusher bolt capability allows for quick and easy access to the pump interior without disconnecting the piping. Clogs can be cleared, and the pump can be returned to service within minutes. Additionally, the impeller, seal, wearplate, and flap valve can be accessed through the cover opening for inspection or maintenance.
Removable Rotating Assembly
Inspecting the pump shaft or bearings is hassle-free and doesn't require disturbing the pump casing or piping. By simply removing four bolts from the back of the pump, the entire rotating assembly can slide out for examination.
Dual Protection of Bearings
The atmospheric isolation of the seal cavity ensures positive protection of the bearings. This unique design also allows for capabilities of external monitoring, promoting enhanced operational safety.
